How long will my claim take?
Each claim is unique and different factors can affect the length of the claim. Bias Claims will always speed up your claim whenever possible. Below are some estimates for the different types of claim you can make with us:

Credit Card Charges: 7 to 12 weeks but normally sooner rather than later.

Bank Charges: Hardship claims can vary but in our experience they can take from as little as two weeks to 4 months to complete the process.

PPI: 4 weeks to 4 months

Annuities: 12 weeks

Bonds: 6 to 9 months

SERPS: 6 to 9 months

Can I make the claim myself?
Yes, you can make the claim yourself if you have the time, funds and confidence to take your claim to the Financial Ombudsman Service or court if necessary. If we make the claim for you we will take care of everything. You just have to fill in our very easy form and then sit back, relax and if it’s successful we’ll send you a cheque on completion.

Whether you make a claim yourself or use Bias Claims we would advise you to claim sooner rather than later to ensure that you receive everything that you’re entitled to.

How much do I have to pay?
We operate on a No Win No Fee basis. Upon successful completion of the claim our flat rate fee is 20% of the redress.

Are Bias Claims fully authorised and regulated?
Yes. Bias Claims Management Limited are fully regulated by the Ministry of Justice in respect of regulated claims management activities; its registration is recorded on the website www.claimsregulation.gov.uk

How secure are my details with you?
Bias Claims takes it’s responsibilities under the Data Protection Act very seriously. We keep all information relating to you and your claim secure. All our employees have signed stringent confidentiality contracts, and systems are in place to prevent misuse of any data.

I have already started to claim myself, can I still use you?
Yes. Bias Claims can take on your claim at any stage in its process. We tailor our service to each individual, so we can adapt to whatever stage your claim is at. Even if your complaint has been rejected, we can often still pursue compensation.

Can I claim for closed loans/accounts?
Yes. If you were unfairly charged then you have a right to make a claim. Just fill out the form as usual and we’ll do the rest for you.

Will the bank close my account if I claim against them?
If you are claiming under the Banking Code – Hardship Rules then there is a slim possibility that your Bank may offer to help in other ways, one of which is to close or suspend accounts. But this has to be in an effort to help you. If a bank or any other institution did close your account because of a claim then we would raise an official complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service, citing retaliatory action against you. This could even be more damaging to them than the claim itself.

I’m not sure if I have a PPI policy or not?
PPI mis-selling has been so extreme that some people have been sold PPI without even knowing about it. If you suspect that you may have been sold PPI then apply as usual and we can find out for you.

Do you have a complaints procedure?
Yes of course, at Bias Claims we believe that a happy customer is a good customer and we always strive to provide excellent service. If you are unhappy then please contact us and let us know.

My question isn’t answered here, what shall I do?
